Christmas in the office

I am sitting here at my desk. It is 12:18 on Christmas Eve. It is going to be a long day. So many things still to be done. I have to go to the grocery store!

I cooked breakfast this morning for the office. Several of the other women in the office brought things! I love it when everyone gets involved! Below is my corner office! Don't you love my gingerbread house. Like I told Vicki, "I may be creative, but I never said I was an artist." It looks like Hayden drew it, but I guess that is it's charm.

I am so excited about waking up tomorrow with the boys. This is the first Christmas we have been able to really provide the boys with what they wanted. Needless to say, they are still little and didn't want much but we got the things they asked for!

Hayden is afraid Santa isn't coming to our house because we do not have snow. How do you explain to a 4 year old that we live in Dallas,TX. He will not see much snow growing up.

This is also the first year we will not be with my family on Christmas Day! We are going to see them on New Years. It will be ok though. We have some newfound friends that will be spending Christmas with us.

New Week, New Day

It is 8:00 Monday morning. I am on the phone with a facility. Already a crazy morning! Just another crazy Monday. But you know what, why complain? I woke up in a very warm bed. Almost too warm! I was able to dress my beautiful boys and get them off to a great school. I drove myself to this lovely office. So why complain?

I am sitting here listening to Christmas music on the radio. They are doing Christmas give aways. I just cry and cry listening to them. I can't make myself turn it off. I have started listening to this station just to listen to the great things they are doing. These familys are hurting so bad. All of the little things that we take for granted are the things that add up for them.

We should all thank God everyday for all the blessings in our life. All of those little things that aggrivate us or make us smile! Help others around you! Do you know how far that smile goes?
